Where We Came From... Mike Abbott is the owner of Mr Waterbed, and the "Mr Waterbed" behind the company name. In 1973 the first Mr Waterbed store opened in Orange, California. The rent was $175. During the waterbed boom of the early 80's Mr Waterbed grew to six locations in Orange and Los Angeles counties. While most furniture stores sold waterbeds as a side-line, Mr Waterbed has always specialized in waterbeds and bedroom furniture. Where We Are Going... In 2007 we are changing to meet a changing market -- we have moved from a brick- and-mortar store in Fullerton, California, and now sell exclusively on the Internet. We still offer the best in waterbeds, but with the Internet we can now reach out to customers throughout the United States. We pride ourselves in supplying our customers with the best and the widest variety of products on the market. Mr Waterbed was in the forefront of the waterbed movement at its beginning -- and 34 years later, Mike is still in the business. No one selling waterbeds today has more experience, and is more qualified to help the customer choose just the right bed. The times ~ they are a changing...
